Trout fishing and boat access

The White River is known for its rainbow trout and trophy brown trout. The Calico Rock Boat Ramp sits at the entrance to Mullet's Landing, and local guides run trips from it. Bring your own boat (there's room to park the trailer at the cabin) or book a trip with a guide at the ramp.

Guest access

The whole cabin, covered porch, fire pit and yard are yours. Park at the cabin, with room for a boat trailer. Self check-in with a lockbox: we send the code and directions before you arrive. The gated entrance is beside the Calico Rock Boat Ramp, and the cabins sit farther inside the property.

Good to know

  • Riverbanks are steep in places, and the water level changes with dam releases. Take care near the river.
  • Swimming isn't recommended: the water is cold and the current changes quickly.
  • No pets, smoking or events. Check-in after 3 pm, checkout by 11 am. 2-night minimum.
  • Mullet's Landing has four cabins. Groups can book two or three side by side and still have their own space.
  • About 5 minutes to historic downtown Calico Rock and about 25 minutes to Lake Norfork. Mountain View, with Blanchard Springs Caverns and the Ozark Folk Center, is an easy day trip.
Getting There

Turn under the trestle, past the sign, down to the river.

The last half-mile of the drive is the best part. You leave the highway, duck under an old railroad trestle, and roll past the Mullet's Landing sign into a gated property with only four cabins. Then the road opens up and the White River is right there.
